I grew up understanding that pin 1 of a through hole part is used as the reference for manufacturing and the center of a surface mount part is used as the reference. What is it today? I notice on through hole part OY471KE the center of the part is used. Yet in time past, on through hole part G5LE-14 DC24, that Snapeda changed it from center to pin 1 at my challenge.
